Your questions answered

Will this treatment plan clear up my rosacea?

Rosacea is a relapsing condition, which means there can be periods when the symptoms are worse, followed by periods when they are less severe. The symptoms tend to start off with flushing (when the skin turns red) and then may progress to any of the following:

  • burning and stinging sensations
  • permanent redness
  • spots (papules and pustules)
  • small broken veins or blood vessels in the skin becoming visible.

Trigger factors for rosacea

You may also notice that there are certain 'trigger' factors that make your rosacea worse. These vary in significance and from person to person, but can include:

  • exposure to sunlight
  • strenuous exercise
  • stress
  • hot or cold weather
  • hot drinks
  • alcohol and caffeine
  • certain foods, such as spicy food.

Avoiding certain triggers - as much as possible - is the first part of managing the condition, but finding the best treatment for you as an individual is where we can help.

What type of treatments can Skin Perfection offer?

When having treatment at Skin Perfection, it is about managing and controlling the skin condition in the best way possible within clinic treatment and using the correct skincare products at home.

Your skin and laser specialist will assess your condition when you book in for your Skin Observ and skin health check. At this time they will discuss the range of treatments including the benefits of combining treatments to deliver the best results.

See below for our range of treatments and skincare products that will help you effectively manage the symptoms of rosacea.
