Acne/Acne Scarring
There are many reasons as to why you might still be suffering from acne after puberty.
For many people, acne occurs as they naturally have oily/acne prone skin. This is especially noticeable through puberty. Acne can also be caused by your diet and lifestyle.
There could also be medical reasons as to why you are prone to acne, such as Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome (PCOS). If you believe you are suffering from PCOS, then contact your GP.
Acne Treatments
As adult acne is a common problem, we have a range of different treatment options available for both acne and acne scarring. These include:
LED Light Therapy
LED light therapy is very effective in treating acne, as it not only reduces irritation and redness, but also reduces the amount of bacteria under the skin. This treatment can be used on its own or in combination with other treatments.
Micro-needling
This treatment is better at reducing the appearance of acne scars. Micro-needling works by making controlled wounds in order to encourage the body’s natural production of collagen. Collagen helps repair the skin, therefore the appearance of acne scars will be reduced.
Laser Hair Removal
Excess body hair is another problem that can occur in men and women of all ages. By constantly shaving or waxing, we are routinely damaging our skin, just to achieve smooth and hairless skin. Then comes the extra hassle of razor burn and ingrown hairs. At Skin Perfection, we have a more permanent solution to unwanted body and facial hair. Our Laser Hair Removal treatments are a lot less painful and effective than traditional methods.
How Does It Work?
Laser Hair Removal is actually pretty simple. For the treatment, we place a laser beam over the area that is being treated. The beam of light is then absorbed by the melanin and pigment in the hair. This reduces the active hair follicle underneath the skin and the heat permanently stunts hair growth.
Lip Enhancement
Lip enhancement is becoming more common with younger people. If you have naturally thin lips, then this treatment can help you achieve fuller but natural looking lips
How Does It Work?
In our Lip Enhancement treatment, we use hyaluronic acid-based dermal fillers in order to achieve a natural look. This is a one time procedure and the results can last up to two years.
